A Weekend Stay At Waldorf Los Cabos

A Weekend Stay At Waldorf Los Cabos

“Mexico is always a good idea” is a heart felt saying I’ve always believed in and stood by, so it comes to no surprise that Mexico would be my first vacation choice of 2021. When carefully considering all of the amazing cities Mexico has to offer, Cabo always stands out. In terms of luxury the Waldorf Astoria is the way to go. My 3 day stay at the Waldorf was nothing short of phenomenal. With their location being just a 5 minute walk from the downtown marina as well as tucked into a cliff, while remaining beachfront you simply can’t get any better.

CHECKING IN

The ocean view suites at Waldorf are absolutely breathtaking! Every inch of the resort is gorgeous with such a sophisticated Mexican design. Thriving in hospitality each suite provides the cutest mini Casa Azul bottle to introduce their guests to Mexico’s finest (IMO) tequila.

DINING

My dining experience at Waldorf was so delicious I didn’t bother venturing out to look elsewhere for ANY of my meals. I was living my best foodie life. El Farallon is their dinning restaurant serving freshly caught seafood with any bottle of bubbly you desire. Dinner there is an experience of its own. You feel as if you’re on a cliff all while listening to the crash of waves against the rocks around you. Breakfast at Don Manuels got this girl out of bed and happy before 10am. Their fresh juices and crab benedict are the must haves on the menu. Crudo is their small snack bar by the infinity pool which over looks the ocean. Do yourself a favor and order a cocktail + truffle fries, thats all.

ACTIVITIES

  • Whale watching– Luckily for me this time of the year is when all the whales swim through Cabo and I’d say they really like human attention! The best part is I didn’t have to hop on a boat tour, I had the pleasure of seeing all the whale action right from my balcony.
  • Tequila tasting– My favorite! The private tequila tasting the main mixologist prepared surpassed all of my expectations. This activity is a must. I thought I knew a fair amount about my favorite spirit but turns out no, I was completely wrong lol. The host took time explaining in depth the full history of the agave derived drink and the lengthy process it takes to create a bottle. The tasting will leave you really choosing a favorite your next trip to the bar.
  • The spa- Waldorf’s spa is like no other. They take a distinctive approach integrating the 3 central themes, the moon, the sea and Mexican folk healing. The massage villas all connect on a pool that over looks a waterfall bringing relaxation to a high.
